Filmed in December 2024, Sasha Jane’s stereotype-breaking production of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker was the first collaboration between Jacobs School of Music and Indiana Public Media in decades. Captured live at the Musical Arts Center at Indiana University, the team from Up Until Now Collective - Kevin Newbury, James Matthew Daniel, and Matthew Principe - created a colorful blend of live theater with cinematic artistry for this imaginative retelling of the classic ballet, featuring a full orchestral performance and stunning choreography.
